All I can say is WOW! What an absolutely amazing video...my favorite scene is the Boats as well with the water rippling!!! I am so psyched to bet getting one myself. Have you heard the rumblings of Black Dots at night with this?

This HD video plays back perfectly on Media Player Classic in Windows 7! Get the free player at www.free-codecs.com to watch it over and over on your computer once you have downloaded this video.

I did last night as an attempt to get the sound working, (ffdshow) but still no sound? I'll try openning it in Imovie and see, it does run smooth as butter indeed, do you have sound in your media player?

To the second poster: install ffdshow. Windows Media Player (using ffdshow instead of stock decoding layer) plays smooth as butter! My system is 5 years old - Althon XP 2800+, 1 GB RAM, Nvidia 6200 AGP - this video plays VERY smooth!

Hmmm, John, good question. I just used iMovie and then saved as a .mov file and uploaded. I tried to save as h.264 but my iMovie would blow up.

Can't wait to see what you produce with your new 5D!

Chris, have a question about the encoding. Downloaded the full HD clip for best play back on my PC. The best and smoothest playback is with either Windows media player or PowerDVD. But these will not play the audio. Apple Quicktime will play the video and audio but the video playback stutters. Winamp video only plays the audio stream? The file info says that the audio is on track 2. Anyway, this is all to ask if the video is untouched from the camera and how did you put the music to the video? Quicktime, or some other editor? trying to decipher the incompatibility issues so I can produce the best final product.

    thanks, john h

PS, my 5D is due here Thursday!!
